Fisher man energy booster: COFFEE

The lives of fisherman are far more tiring than most people may realize unless you are a fisherman yourself. If you really are a fisherman, then you are likely aware of the danger and fatigue involved in your line of work. Of course, you likely have your reasons for staying it, such as perhaps the fact that you grew up in it, which is understandable.

However, that does not mean that each and every day of fishing routine should end with exhaustion and fatigue. If you can just invest in a home machine to make espresso or some other type of coffee and start your with a hot, steaming cup of Joe, you will find yourself feeling far more energetic throughout the day.

How Is Coffee An Energy Booster?

In the United States, more than half of the population drink coffee as a part of their daily routine. If fisherman but not a coffee drinker, you have no clue of the energy boost that coffee is capable of providing. Once you start drinking coffee, you will experience a surge of energy because the caffeine it contains tends to stimulate the brain.

From a nutritional point of view, the energy you get from a beverage or food depends on how much calorie it contains. Coffee, especially black coffee, does not actually contain that many calories, but it is still capable of energizing a person in a different manner.

Coffee, unless it is decaffeinated, always contains caffeine, which is a fat-soluble chemical that is easily transported to you brain tissue by your bloodstream. Neurotransmitters in the brain are chemicals that control its activity. Depending on the situation, they either help calm brain cells or stimulate them. One particular neurotransmitter that helps calm your brain is adenosine.

However, caffeine attaches itself to adenosine receptors in your brain, preventing the neurotransmitter from having its signature calming effect. This is what makes a caffeine such an effective stimulant. The stimulation of brain activity resulting from caffeine consumption also causes the amount of epinephrine in the body to rise. Since it is also known as the “fight or flight” hormone, epinephrine further stimulates both the brain and the body.

Even if coffee does not actually energize you from a metabolic and nutritional perspective, it still makes you mentally alert, which can end up translating to a feeling a boost of energy. If you are indeed a fisherman with an exhausting, hectic and tiring work routine, drink coffee in the morning and perhaps even during the day will help you feel more mentally alert due to the stimulatory effects of the caffeine it contains.

Conclusion: If you are ready to add drinking a cup of home brewed coffee to your daily routine, then consider investing in whichever type of coffee maker will be most affordable for you. For your first coffee maker, it does not really matter if it is automatic or semi – automatic. (Even I manage to managed to get 8 cups from my semi – automatic coffee maker). The point is that drinking a cup or two of coffee every day will help you remain mentally alert and feel energized while you are out there fishing.
